From Small Online Workshops to an Organization Empowering African Women and Girls
Coding Ladies Africa was founded in 2022 by Claude Obiri Amadu, a full-stack software engineer who recognized the urgent need for more inclusive, accessible, and high-impact technology education for African women and girls.
What began with modest online coding workshops has expanded into a thriving network of university and regional campus chapters across Africa.
Our core focus has always remained steadfast: creating supportive learning environments where women and girls develop real-world technical skills, gain confidence, and build lifelong connections with industry mentors.
